Santa—Victor—roared with deep laughter. “I’ll see what I can do about those Christmas wishes, young lady!”

Despite the makeup and clothing, it was so obvious now. The angular face underneath the fake beard. The steel-grey eyes. Even the way he laughed gave it away.

Victor. So that’s what his job at Fulton’s was!

“Have a merry Christmas, and be sure to grab a candy cane from the bowl at the end on your way out!” he said, patting me on the back.

Before I knew it, I was being shuffled away by a blonde helper elf. “Come on, you two milked it long enough. There are plenty of actual customers who want to sit on Santa’s lap.”

We exited out the back of Santa’s Workshop. Lili was giggling and sucking on a candy cane.

“You’ll never guess it, but the man underneath the costume is the hottest guy at Fulton’s,” she revealed.

I stared at him, dumbfounded, as he bounced a little boy on his lap. “I can’t believe it’s Victor.”

Lili cocked her head. “Oh, you already know him? You’ve probably seen him coming in early in the morning, since you’ve been opening the store. He works at a pub down the street at night.”

“Yeah, the Sunset Bayou,” I said absently.

“Wait,” Lili said with a rapidly-spreading look of shock. “Don’t tell me he is your bar hookup mystery man!”

I bit my lip.

“NO. FREAKING. WAY.”

I led her back to the employee lounge so we could have some privacy. Then I told her everything about Victor, including how we had hooked up in the locker room yesterday morning.

“You did it inside Fulton’s? And you didn’t even tell me? And here I thought you were this prudish farm girl!”

“I didn’t plan any of it,” I said quietly. “It just sort of happened.”

Lili crossed her arms and scowled at me. “You know, this isn’t fair. Between Victor, Thomas, and Gabe, you’re hogging all the hot guys at work. Leave some for the rest of us!”

Mr. Webber chose that moment to walk into the employee lounge. “Leave some what for the rest of us?”

“Um, coffee,” I quickly said. “Lili’s mad that I finished the pot.”

Mr. Webber bobbed his head. “Hey. Um. I hate to be a micromanaging boss, but we’re getting busy out there, and lunch is technically over…”

“Sorry!” I jumped up and went back out to the department floor to help customers.

Being busy helped distract me, but I found my gaze constantly drifting out to the atrium. Santa’s booming voice took on a completely different tone now that I knew it was Victor, the man I’d been hooking up with. The man who had fucked me in the locker room, and then came in my mouth and on my face. It made me tingle with excitement. He really was more than just the biker bad-boy exterior.

I wanted to text him, but there was no point since he was currently playing Santa. I kept watching him throughout the day. Occasionally Lili caught me looking at him, and she gave me a dirty glare.
